SA-100 is a single junction amorphous silicon (a-Si) photovoltaic module. Its dimension is 1.1m in width and 1.4m in length which has a total area of 1.54m2. Maximum power output is 100 watts. Although it is lower in efficiency comparing to traditional crystalline-based modules, but amorphous silicon module performs better in low light conditions which is a true advantage that will generate more electricity overall. Due to its relatively easier process and not affected by raw materials shortage, a-Si modules are very competitive in overall PV cost.
